About Jeanne

Based in Bellingham, Massachusetts, Jeanne is a full-time artist who traded a career in hairdressing and retail for a life behind the easel. Since taking the leap in 2013, she hasn’t looked back.

Focusing on the quiet, everyday moments of the farm life, Jeanne describes her style as “relaxed realism”. In her animal portraits, she utilizes the buttery texture of oil paint to capture the softness of the fur and the depth of the curious eyes, building layers that are both accurate and beautifully painterly. This same approach carries into her landscapes, where she emphasizes atmosphere through an interplay of thick and thin passages, warm and cool tones, and with an antique inspired color palette in mind.

In early 2026, Jeanne launched a series of daily studies in an alla prima technique. These 5“ x 7“ studies are a vibrant part of her current practice and are available at her upcoming shows or by special inquiry. Be sure to follow her stories on Instagram and/or Facebook where she shares them almost daily!

You can browse all of her available art for sale here on her website. With over ten years exhibiting at prestigious fine art festivals across New England, Jeanne is an award-winning painter who most recently took home First Place in Oil Painting at the South Shore Art Festival in Cohasset, MA.
